It’s that time of the year again! Call2Recycle recently recognized its most active partners in the U.S. and Canada with the 2014 Leaders in Sustainability awards.
This will be the fourth year the awards have been distributed in Canada and the third year in the U.S. The awards recognize select organizations for their exemplary participation in the Call2Recycle program, and go to a wide variety of retailers, municipalities, government departments, manufacturers and others organizations in North America.
Call2Recycle would like to congratulate not only this year’s recipients but all organizations that use the Call2Recycle program as their preferred method for keeping batteries out of landfill. With support from these organizations, in 2014, Call2Recycle reached the milestone of collecting more than 100 million pounds of batteries and cellphones for responsible recycling since 1996. We applaud all of our participants and stewards and thank them for their commitment to the environment.
