Lead the Recycling Charge on National Battery Day

C2C014 National Battery Day Campaign - 160x600 Banner Concept - Screen 1Are you ready to lead the charge for battery recycling? To increase battery recycling awareness, we are launching: “Lead the Charge in Battery Recycling”, a multi-platform awareness campaign that will focus on recognizing National Battery Day, February 18.

The campaign will feature the “Lead the Charge” sweepstakes, which will invite consumers to recycle their batteries at a Call2Recycle drop-off site in either the US or Canada. All digital photos must be submitted between Feb. 1 and Feb. 29. through the sweepstakes entry form. Pictures posted on social media platforms with the hashtag #NBD2016Recycle2Win will also be directly eligible for the drawing. Consumers are encouraged to tag collection sites on their social media posts as a token of appreciation for providing a free battery recycling program to the community they serve. Sixteen winners will be randomly selected to receive a $250 gift card*.

We encourage all collection sites, recyclers, stewards and consumers to support the campaign by promoting the sweepstakes through internal platforms. You can also join the conversation on social media (Twitter and Facebook) where Call2Recycle and partners will be actively encouraging consumers to drop off their old batteries for recycling.

Interested in participating? Visit the campaign page or contact Customer Service for more information about the contest  to obtain a campaign kit that includes posters, digital banners and social media posts. This campaign is made possible through the support of our industry stewards, retailers, municipalities and Call2Recycle partners.
