Every year, the portable rechargeable power industry produces millions of rechargeable battery packs to power products like cordless power tools, cell phones, cordless phones, laptop computers, digital cameras, two-way radios, camcorders, and remote control toys. But when those long-life batteries die, they need to be recycled.
Call2Recycle®, a program of the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC), offers an easy solution to battery manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers. When you pay a fee to place the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-approved RBRC Battery Recycling Seals on your battery packs, you become an RBRC licensee and the Call2Recycle program recycles the batteries for you—keeping them out of landfills, and promoting a safer, cleaner environment for everyone. And, our recycling program meets all federal and state laws, including the Battery Act, for recycling Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), and Small Sealed Lead Acid (Pb) rechargeable batteries*.
