ATLANTA (Nov. 1, 2013) – DEWALT® is offering a discount on purchases of new DEWALT power tool batteries when customers recycle their used rechargeable batteries throughout the month of November. Call2Recycle®—North America’s first and largest consumer battery stewardship and recycling program—is a driving force during DEWALT’s November trade-in initiative.

From November 1 – 30, customers who drop off any brand of rechargeable battery from a cordless power tool, such as a cordless drill, cordless screwdriver, cordless saw or cordless nailer, at one of the company’s 75 service centers will receive a 10 percent discount on the purchase of a new Porter Cable, Black & Decker, or DEWALT battery. (Purchase must be made at the same time the battery is brought in for recycling.)

Through its partnership with Call2Recycle, DEWALT can offer convenient, no-cost battery recycling to its customers year-round. The turnkey battery recycling solution supports DEWALT’s corporate stewardship and sustainability goals.

“Call2Recycle’s rechargeable battery recycling program makes it easy for us to reward our customers for properly disposing of their rechargeable batteries,” said Nate Pellerin, Marketing Manager of DEWALT Factory Service. “Our long-standing and continuing partnership with Call2Recycle is an important part of our commitment to environmental stewardship.”
