Call2Recycle Announces Addition of John Matthews to RBRC Board of Directors

Veteran of Sustainability Offers Decades of Public Affairs Experience to Battery Recycling Organization’s Leadership

ATLANTA (April 16, 2012) – Call2Recycle®, North America’s only free rechargeable battery and cellphone collection program, today announced the election of John Matthews, principal of Matthews Strategic Services, LLC, to the RBRC Board of Directors. Call2Recycle, operated by RBRC, has diverted over 70 million pounds of rechargeable batteries from the solid waste stream and through its network of 30,000 public collection sites.

In his current role, Matthews consults with organizations on strategy development, executive coaching and crisis management. He is also a board member of Aurora Health Care, Wisconsin’s largest provider of health care.  As the former chief sustainability officer for Diversey, Inc., a global cleaning and hygiene provider, he brings a wealth of experience in sustainable innovation, operations and strategy for industry leadership and growth. In addition, he held the positions of chief of staff and senior vice president for corporate affairs for Diversey, now part of Sealed Air (NYSE: SEE).
