Quebec company expands Call2Recycle’s sortation capacity
TORONTO (October 4, 2012) – Call2Recycle®, North America’s leader in consumer battery recycling, is proud to announce that it has signed an agreement with Laurentide Re-Sources Inc., to provide battery sortation services for Call2Recycle’s national battery recycling program. The Victoriaville, Quebec company has been contracted to properly sort and record consumer primary batteries and rechargeable batteries shipped from Call2Recycle collection sites across Quebec and Eastern Canada. With this engagement, Laurentide becomes the third Canadian sorting facility on the Call2Recycle roster, expanding the national recycling program’s capacity to efficiently collect and divert used batteries from landfills.
