Designed to educate consumers and communities on the importance and ease of battery recycling, Call2Recycle® and Mayor Mike McGinn have designated Thursday, June 28, as Battery Recycling Day in Seattle. Area residents and organizations are encouraged to scour their attics, junk drawers, and desks, and bring their rechargeable batteries to the Seattle Center International Fountain for a chance to be rewarded with prizes in addition to doing their part for the environment.
