Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner! We are pleased to introduce our new mascot….Volt! Congratulations to Sheila Meyer for her winning entry. “Volt” received the most “likes” during our Facebook contest, held March 5-9, to name our mascot. Sheila will be receiving a gift set of eco-friendly goodies from Call2Recycle. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Volt will be helping us with our educational efforts to bring awareness to the importance of rechargeable battery recycling. Call2Recycle is North America’s only free rechargeable battery and cellphone recycling program with over 30,000 drop-off locations, many with major retailers. Since 1996, Call2Recycle has diverted over 70 million pounds of batteries from the waste stream.
