The Northeast Recycling Council’s (NERC) member states, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont, increased their 2011 collections of rechargeable batteries by 26%, recycling a total of 1,108,840 pounds of rechargeable batteries through their participation in the Call2Recycle program.
