Seattle Answers Call for First Area-wide Battery Recycling Day

Designed to educate consumers and communities on the importance and ease of battery recycling, Call2Recycle® and Mayor Mike McGinn have designated Thursday, June 28, as .  Area residents and organizations are encouraged to scour their attics, junk drawers, and desks, and bring their rechargeable batteries to the Seattle Center International Fountain for a chance to be rewarded with prizes in addition to doing their part for the environment.

Recycling Fun in the Sun!

Hundreds of families turned out to celebrate Earth Day at the Burbank Recycling Center on Saturday, April 21st. The event, promoted and hosted by the center staff, included live bands, a tour of the recycling facility, local sustainability resources, panel discussions, face painting and live animals, as well as other family-oriented activities.
